This one-day course will provide an update on the routine childhood immunisation schedule in the UK, the current vaccine programme and contemporary issues relating to vaccination/immunisation.
What will the course content cover?
- Overview of the current routine childhood vaccination schedule in the UK
- Recent changes to the schedule
- Managing parent/carers’ concerns
- Managing an uncertain vaccination history
- Strategies to maximise vaccine uptake
- Professional and practical issues in vaccination/immunisation
- How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered face-to-face by experienced teachers who have specialist knowledge of vaccination/immunisation.
A variety of interactive approaches will be used to facilitate peer learning and networking with colleagues. At the end of the course you will be provided with a certificate that can be used, where required, as evidence to support you in your preparations for NMC revalidation.
